WIRING AND CABLING TECHNICIAN |
| Five (5) years experience in installation, test, verification and checkout of copper and fiber optic communications cable and familiarization with splicing techniques, tools and test equipment used with copper and fiber cable. Two (2) years supervisory experience. |
| Functional Responsibility: |
Tests cables in accordance with test plans and procedures prior to installation and completing test forms. Splices cable and properly installs splice enclosures. Troubleshoots cable problems. Maintains compliance with all applicable building and fire code regulations. |
| Minimum Education: |
High School Diploma and technical training in electronics or a related field. |
