| Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering and eight (8) years experience; or Graduate of Military Electronics School four-year Apprentice Program or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and ten (10) years experience; or Graduate of a Technical School and fifteen (15) years experience. In addition, six (6) years hands-on technical experience in installation, modification, field change, operation, mainten-ance, test, troubleshooting and repair of information technology systems, or electrical/ electronic systems in accordance with established standards. Four (4) years management, supervisory or leadership experience. |
| Functional Responsibility: |
Provides expert technical support and/or leadership for difficult assignments in the planning, analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of networks or operational systems. Performs and/or leads systems planning, information planning, and analysis in support of telecommunications support functions. Tests processes and data models in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools. Evaluates system problems of workflow, organization and planning. Knowledgeable of applicable telecommunications engineering techniques and the use of automated support tools. Performs all work in accordance with established standards. Supervises or manages tasks/projects. |
| Minimum Education: |
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering; or Graduate of Military Electronics School four-year Apprentice Program or Associates degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering; or Graduate of a Technical School in accordance with the General Experience requirements. |
