Telecommunications Engineer III |
| Ten (10) years experience in support of telecommunications systems or networks, to include six (6) years hands-on technical experience in the troubleshooting, repair, operation, installation, test and checkout of electronics, communications systems, and information technology systems. Four (4) years experience in supervision, scheduling and managing multiple projects and managing an installation organization. |
| Functional Responsibility: |
Supports the planning, analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of networks and operational systems. Participates in systems planning, information planning and analysis in support of telecommunications support functions. Tests processes and data models in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools. Evaluates system problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Develops appropriate corrective action. Knowledgeable of applicable telecommunications engineering techniques and the use of automated support tools. Performs all work in accordance with established standards. Supervises or manages tasks/projects. |
| Minimum Education: |
Graduate of a four-year Apprentice Program in Electronics or Communications; or Associates degree in Electronics or Communications; or Graduate of Military Class A and/or B School in Electronics or Communications. |
