SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST |
| Eight (8) years of technical experience in applications software analysis, development, and implementation. Competent to work at a high technical level for all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. |
| Functional Responsibility: |
Applies system analysis and design techniques to complex computer systems in a broad area such as manufacturing, communications, accounting, business, or operations. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate complex processing systems or to improve existing computer systems. Confers with customers and coworkers involved to analyze current operational needs, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats of reports. Maintains and modifies complex systems or develops new subsystems of substantial complexity such as inventory control, accounting systems, fire control, command and control systems, communications management systems, or multi-user/multi-site systems in which complex automated processes are conducted. Guides users in developing requirements and carries out customer needs assessments. Advises the customer as to alternatives and trade-offs. |
| Minimum Education: |
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Eight (8) years additional experience may substitute for degree. |
