VT Milcom offers complete turnkey capabilities from concept to prototype to production runs. Our staff of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers believe in the concurrent engineering process between the manufacturer, the customer, and the end user. Our advanced equipment includes Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines with specialized software for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

VT Milcom's manufacturing organization is focused on providing its customers top-quality products, reliable service, and quick delivery. Our CAD/CAM Database capabilities enable us to retrieve a product file from the database, complete with material take-off and CNC source codes, and send the product to the production floor for manufacture. Further, we can import your drawing files and rapidly convert them for use with our CNC manufacturing equipment - this translates to reduced costs.

Our 23,000 square foot ISO certified Fabrication Facility in Chesapeake, VA is fully equipped with shears, CNC brakes and punch presses and maintains complete machining capabilities with lathes, CNC mills, and surface preparers. A certified weld shop is outfitted with the latest MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and spot welding machinery. Metal finishing capabilities include chemical conversion (IRIDITE), wet spray painting, and powder coating.

Our product lines consist of computer workstations, tables, shelves, lockers, power distribution enclosures, networking enclosures, EIA rack components, and ruggedized computer mounting accessories designed for ergonomic use and ease of installation. VT Milcom uses SMP software from Merry Mechanization, Inc. For more than 20 years, MMI has provided associative CAD/CAM software unique in the sheet metal industry. SMP's feature-based software focuses on automation and productivity.
